Rhea is a compassionate individual who is dedicated to the healing journeys of survivors who have been through trauma. She has a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and is certified in trauma informed care. She has experience working with adult clients from various backgrounds with complex trauma histories. Her approach is collaborative, nurturing, empathetic, direct, and non-judgmental because she believes a safe, warm, and accepting environment is essential to the therapeutic process and guiding clients through their healing. Recognizing how minority status and oppression can add to mental health, traumatic experiences, and seeking support, she strives to create an inclusive space for all clients with different cultural backgrounds and identities. She uses an integrative approach and tailors treatment to the clients needs and goals, using psychodynamic therapy, person centered therapy, feminist therapy, trauma informed care, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness techniques in effort to foster hope, empowerment, and resilience. Rhea’s area of interests include trauma work, post traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, depression, self-harming behaviors, attachment disruptions, and interpersonal relationships.
