Vanessa is currently enrolled at Marquette University in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate program. Having earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Rehabilitation and Human Services with a focus on Kinesiology, Vanessa has experience working in both physiological and psychological aspects of healthcare. Previously, she worked as a Behavioral Specialist with children and adolescents as well as a Personal Trainer focusing on womens health and mobility with older adults. Personally, her role as a wife and mother of three has only further contributed to her capacity and empathy for the experiences of others. Vanessa is passionate about coming alongside individuals in their personal journey to achieve optimal wellness and functioning. She believes that this often begins with mental healthcare such as reconfiguring maladaptive thought patterns. Open to spirituality and faith-based counsel, Vanessa believes in making meaning of life events - victories and adversities alike. With an emphasis on a person-centered and integrative approach, she will develop a treatment plan that uniquely suits each person. Vanessa aims to work with individuals across the lifespan, with particular focus on womens health, couples, families, older adults, and those experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relational challenges.
